Higher Certificate in Bookkeeping
The purpose of this programme is to educate and qualify students for entry into a career in any bookkeeping-related field. The Higher Certificate in Bookkeeping aims to provide students with the knowledge and skills needed to create and maintain a set of books for SMMEs and sole proprietors up to trial balance.
The Higher Certificate in Bookkeeping qualification is conferred by The Independent Institute of Education (The IIE).
Course Duration: Minimum 1 year

A National Senior Certificate with admission to a Higher Certificate or equivalent.
OR
Mature age exemption to a Higher Certificate:
Candidates having attained the age of 23 before or during the first year of registration with a Senior Certificate or equivalent, with a minimum of 40% in at least four Higher or Standard Grade subjects, at least three of which must have been passed simultaneously and one of which must be a recognised Higher Grade subject, may apply for admission.
OR
Candidates having attained the age of 45 before or during the first year of registration may apply for admission.
